Freenote is a freeware application that works as one or more virtual sticky notes. It shows a simple interface, quite user-friendly, as you just write the reminders on top of it. This helps you remember the most important things you have to do, especially if you spend a lot of time in front of the computer. Freenote places an icon in your system tray, making your access to its options very easy. Freenote’s impact on your system resources is minimal, as it does not slow down your computer. The sticky notes can be moved anywhere on the desktop and they can also be resized to your liking. Clicking on the notes with the left mouse button allows you to activate and modify them, while right clicking lets the note’s popup menu appear. It allows you to remove the note, automatically resize it, or access the note layout property panel. The property panel shows few mandatory options for a regular user. From here you can change the type of font used on the note as well as the size. You can also change the background color of the note according to your preferences, you can change the text color, or you can even add a colored border around your sticky note. In case you have many open windows on your desktop and you really have an important reminder on a sticky note, you can always right click on the note and select “Always on top” to place the note on top of other windows.
